The Ancient Dome are now born 10 years ago, initially as a classical cover band of our reference groups, a situation which lasted until 2004, when we discovered the pleasure of creating original music. The band was born from the ashes of the classic group of teenagers, Emblem, who saw education Pol (myself on guitar), Cuzzo (bass) and our lead guitarist Pech in high school, which has been added to Syra battery, which came into formation through an ad in a magazine paper (in those days was still used well, yes). Only in 2004 the arrival of the final moniker, coined by Syra, who wanted to emphasize the predilection for old school thrash and wanting to pose as "aristocratic" of the same.
What bands have influenced you most? On listening to the record, I noticed that influences from thrash metal, and many technical solutions that bring me back more classic metal sull'heavy
Did you notice well, those are the main influences! For my part, as author dell'infarinatura General of the songs, I can tell you that my plays focus on the classics, Metallica, Megadeth and all, then even the greatest Testament, Overkill, Anthrax, Forbidden, a bit of Slayer, but especially band that unfortunately never got the success it deserved, I speak of heathen, Coroner, Artillery, Toxik, Defiance, Realm, Paradox, Revenge, and I could go on indefinitely. The heavy mood I was sent especially from the American scene, and if I loved the most current act like Iced Earth, in my heart there was always room for the huge Metal Church, I will not forget the NWOBHM, as well as technical metal Atheist and Cynic is certainly not the past in the background. Last but not least, the icon remains in absolute Chuck Schuldiner, who works with the last of the huge Death Control Denied overtime and the only masterpiece, has left an indelible mark in my heart and in my mind, the last great genius of our beautiful music.

Excellent! Good to know that you can still leave room for imagination, at least in terms of image and content that you want to provide with its proposal of music. Recycling a response that I have used, but is complete and explicit: "the album can be seen as a metaphor, in terms of lyrical, the continuous irrational behavior that has led man to build around him a little future pink; never veiled criticism, without dual purposes, the use of resources at our disposal, which is better identified as a real exploitation. Point out that this vision should not be inevitably understood in the negative, perhaps in many respects there is no turning back, but we can and must make the effort to respond, so that future generations have the opportunity to still enjoy the good things around us! "
A curiosity: the amusing vignette in the middle of this booklet. Who is the author? Is to emphasize your side also ironic?
Sonia, one of our great friend and supporter, has drawn for us the funny (hopefully) comic found in the booklet. Initially, the latest cartoon was meant to be the main idea of \u200b\u200bthe final artwork, made of course with a style more appropriate to appear on an album cover, then we opted for what I can see now, trying to highlight the issues outlined in the texts I have previously mentioned. The irony? Definitely yes! Let's be honest: the band much more valuable to us, both in terms of songwriting that technology, there are plenty of them. We try to involve the public, especially when live, with sarcasm, even laugh at ourselves (have you ever seen a band made up thrash from 3 to 4 peeled ?!?!?); members want to have fun and entertain, and move away from the cliches of metal band that often ends in the banal, in turn becoming a laughingstock for the same reason members. We are all really underground, and as such, we should learn not to wander, and keep your feet firmly on the ground, no offense to anyone.
How did the agreement with the excellent Punishment18 Records?
Without wishing to pass through critical and cynical, but was born in the most classic, honest and clean as possible: sending a promo in 2008, the positive response from the label, beginning a partnership with the release of our first album "Human Key", in January 2009, followed by "Perception Of This World" in September / October 2010. The Punishment 18 Records works well with the promotion and distribution of its securities, and join a roster of bands and not really enviable Italian, given the quality of the products placed on the market so far underground, can only make us proud of what has been achieved!
Let 's talk of live: you plan the best dates to promote "Perception Of This World"?
touches a sore spot at the time, we give for promotion, but certainly not rained, and we must always thank those who are helping in the search for live. We hope to have the opportunity in the future duty to promote the new album, and we hope that the Italian metalheads respond with equal emphasis, even when you buy the album, which is a really important part for a band at our level, if there is no feedback , and can not "aid for sustenance, it becomes difficult for anyone to think of continuing on its path, and for these reasons, many before us have thrown in the towel. If you then add that might arise a "forced stop" due to a possible departure of the undersigned for the U.S. to chase the chimera called "work", the situation is more complicated in case, I will fight because the other members continue with the project, supported by a new vocalist and another guitar ... never stop the Ancient Dome! What do you think of the Italian scene? There are bands that have impressed you most?
To be part of a movement, we must immerse themselves fully in it. More or less, these were the words that a heavy Italian journalist known for his time he had used to urge people to give not only open his mouth to speak, but go to the facts. I try every day to support the Italian scene, following her, participating to live, buy the CDs of the band and later reviewing the work that I find handy. Our peninsula is currently offering a plethora of great bands, which have little to envy those who are foreign spokesman of the genre, I will not cite names, would end up leaving out too many and I will not run into this error. I can only say that I am more than satisfied with my compatriots, from all the far corners of the boot, and that as long as I continue to believe in the underground force to do so.
There are unfortunately a long time and many cases where some bands are put in agencies often groped to play but in the most cases have proven to be unsuccessful and dangerous (especially at cheaper) for the same band. Would you like to express your opinion?
Another sore point: useless to mention names, who hangs out in the environment he knows what those agencies from which we should stay away. Unfortunately not everyone is aware and move accordingly, and not end up back in the economic costs incurred, which are already quite substantial for those who propose metal in Italy, without seeing a penny of the bill as a return for their commitment and their dedication. Long life to whom it is proposed as a promoter at an amateur level, and does so without asking a cent, driven only by healthy passion! We have to thank many of those problems, avendoci allowed performances in many different contexts. For ourselves, we prefer to limit ourselves to a few dates, but good, the other side of the coin is at the very time when even these prove unsuccessful, but fortunately you can count on the fingers of one hand. All this to say that we'll always stay away from promotion agencies, certainly not currently exist Series and motivated, but still a side that prefers not to elaborate.
